Windows 10 is filled with various features and accessibility tools that ease the user experience. One such accessibility tool is the magnifier app.

It has one of the apps that Windows 10 inherited from its predecessors. This app is especially useful for those who have difficulty reading or identifying small letters.

Using this app, you can zoom in any screen. To use the Magnifier app, you will need to run the Magnify. If the screen on your Windows 10 is zoomed in , then most likely the issue is caused by the magnifier app. To unzoom, try the methods given below. The first method you should try is to check if the issue is caused by the magnifier app.

If still the issue persists, then it is not caused by the magnifier app. Low resolution means larger icons, which may appear choppy. Now, this should fix the zoom-in issue of your computer. If still the issue persists, then check the scaling settings in the Display settings, it will be above the Display resolution. Check if that is set to recommended or not.

If not, change it to the recommended value and see if it fixes this issue. If this fixes the issue, then it was just text zooming that was creating this issue. Try the same method if the issue is occurring for apps like Google Chrome. This shortcut to unzoom text works on many apps. This thread is locked. I was blaming Windows 10 too when this happened to me but it turns out that it was the settings on my TV which needed to be changed. Once this setting was toggled off or on I cant remember which, so try both the PC image fit the screen perfectly.

I didn't have to do this with Windows 8. The manufacturer ViewSonic says the issue is with Microsoft as they do not have a special driver for Win My driver is showing up to date and I tried de-installing and re-installing in cas it somehow was courpted.

If the icons on the desktop look larger, they view is currently set to "Large Icons.

If you want to reduce the size of the icons, right-clicking the desktop and selecting "View" displays the icon sizes. Select a size lower than the current setting zooms out the icons. Alternatively, pressing and holding the "Ctrl" button on the desktop and scrolling down on the mouse zooms out icons.

Screen resolutions and clarity vary with different monitors. In general, flat-panel monitors display higher quality images than older CRT monitors. Most of the monitors today maintain a minimum resolution of at least by pixels, which is a high-resolution display.

Before using features such as Windows Magnifier or changing your display settings, refer to your monitor's manual or documentation for information on the best display settings to optimize display. By Chron Contributor Updated January 30, Related Articles.
